What personal data we collect and why we collect it

PropertyWizard Analytics

To find and fix bugs faster, the PropertyWizard app can collect anonymous usage and error data using Azure Application Insights. We are careful not to collect any personal data. You can switch the data collection on and off in the app’s About dialog.

The app contains a feedback form so that you can send us feedback on your experience with the app, including giving us context around errors. The information you provide will be recorded using Azure Application Insights. If you provide contact information, we may use that to get in touch with you about your feedback.

Azure Application Insights retains data for 90 days. We may retain your feedback data indefinitely: Please contact us for more information.

Mailing List

You may subscribe to our mailing list via the website. We use MailChimp for mailing list management. Every email sent via MailChimp includes an unsubscribe link and a profile management link, which you can use to manage your preferences.

We will retain your data in MailChimp indefinitely. You can manage your data using the profile management link included in each email we send to you.

Website Registration

For users that register on our website, we also store the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information.

Website Comments

When visitors leave comments on the site we collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.

An anonymized string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it. The Gravatar service privacy policy is available here: After approval of your comment, your profile picture is visible to the public in the context of your comment.

If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognize and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.

If you upload images to the website, you should avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included. Visitors to the website can download and extract any location data from images on the website.
